RP PREFERENCES

  • I enjoy long-term stories that unfold slowly and organically. Letting characters grow and connections deepen over time means the big moments feel earned, not rushed or forced.

  • I enjoy adventuring together in all its forms - whether saving the world (again) or fishing all day. This is a roleplaying game, after all, and I love the “game” part just as much as the “roleplaying.”

  • My RP style is mood-dependent and mirror-ish. I’ll match your pace and tone - whether quiet or lively, descriptive or straightforward. On my own, I tend to speak like I’m really there: thoughts flowing naturally, like a conversation over drinks.

  • Fighting and sparring are allowed with consent on most characters. I prefer using this friendly spar ruleset if mechanics are desired, but I’m happy to use another or roleplay it out.

GENERAL BOUNDARIES

  • 18+ partners only, 25+ preferred.

  • I’m here to make new friends and craft stories together.

  • Walk-ups and tells (wu/ts) are always welcome. I stay in character unless in grouped content, but my RP tag activates only with my RP HUD. For longer or ongoing interactions, we can move to Discord as needed.

  • Romance and relationships may develop naturally if the characters click, but they’re not my main focus. I won’t force them for the sake of drama or setpieces.

  • IC ≠ OOC. My characters are not me - their views, feelings, and experiences belong to them alone.

  • Character bleed is part of this hobby - it’s normal and understandable to get invested. But I am not my characters. If bleed begins to impact how you treat me or others, or if IC dynamics are applied OOC without clear communication, that’s a problem.

RATING

  • Swearing and mature language is permitted and used

  • Mild sexual innuendo and references permitted and used

  • Mild violence is permitted

My rating is a starting point for new RP partners and may evolve as our story and interactions grow. If you’re ever unsure, just ask - and remember, “No” is a complete sentence. Consent is always respected and can be withdrawn at any time.

DEALBREAKERS (AKA: THE DNI LIST)

  • I have zero tolerance for bigotry OOC. Any homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, or discrimination against people for things they cannot change will end interaction. IC, my characters only engage bigoted characters with a very good reason - they don’t fret over how people exist and won’t entertain that discussion.

  • Romance and ERP aren’t my focus. If that’s your primary goal, we probably won’t be a good match. If your character is genuinely interested in pursuing one of mine, make the time to get to know them, as I do for others. Relationships grow organically over time, not through instant gratification or quick walk-ups.

  • If you or your character are under 18, I will end contact immediately. I do not engage with minors online, period. Relevant tweet.

The Star

The heart and soul of my story - the character through whom the deepest journeys unfold and the richest emotions are felt. She is the center around which every thread twists and turns - every other character I portray comes back to her somehow.

“The Emberstorm” Mina Angura: A Bloodsands legend from the frozen Blindfrost, whose bare hands held the heat of a roaring forge and the steady rhythm of a skilled smith. Side Characters

These are characters I dive into often, with their own quirks, scars, and stories to tell. They’re not front and center all the time, but they’re real people in my world, growing and shifting alongside Mina. Expect layered interactions and ongoing threads.

"The Thorn" Lyana Glacefall: A charming force of will who carves her path with quiet confidence, cunning, grace, and unwavering determination. Lamia (Primal)

Supporting Characters

Think of these as scene partners or story tools - here to push a plot, spark a moment, or fill a role for a time. They don’t usually stick around long or carry big arcs, but they’re crucial for the texture and flow of the story when they show up.

About Fairlight

  • She/Her OOC.

  • I’m located in the US Eastern Time Zone. I work a service industry job with long hours, which means my schedule can be a little hard to work with on the weekends. That said, I usually get a three-day weekend somewhere in the middle of the week.

  • I’ve been RPing since the Gaia Online days. Like many, I started young - middle school, to be exact - and haven’t really stopped since. I’ve been actively RPing in FFXIV since shortly after Dawntrail’s release.

  • "Mina" has existed in one form or another for a long time. The earliest version dates back to the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj in vanilla World of Warcraft - originally a Human Priest named Leni, who was more or less an idealized version of myself. That version of her lives on in FFXIV as Elara Fairlight.

  • The first "Mina" by name was a Human Mesmer in Guild Wars 2. She doesn’t exist anymore - deleted for the character slot - but that’s where the name started to stick.

  • I’m a huge Megami Tensei fan, and that includes Persona and Metaphor. The aesthetic, themes, and battle systems all resonate with me.

  • Outside of RP, I’m well known in the speedrunning and rhythm game scenes, serving as an ambassador for rhythm games in speedrunning marathons for a long time. Mainly I'm known for frequently showcasing Konami’s long-running beatmania IIDX and Gitadora franchises. Currently, I wear a lot of hats on the Power Up With Pride team, and occasionally contribute to the Tachi rhythm game score tracker project.
